This English language reference CD-ROM contains "The New Oxford Dictionary of English" - Oxford's most comprehensive current English dictionary, with 350,000 words, phrases and definitions; "The New Oxford Thesaurus of English" - with more than 600,000 alternative and opposite words; "The Oxford World Encyclopedia" - with 1.5 million words and 20,000 authoritative and up-to-date entries; and "The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations" - a completely updated fifth edition, containing 20,000 quotations. The "iFinger Pop-up" in Internet Explorer allows users move the cursor over a word on a Web page so that entries are displayed in a pop-up window. Searching in a Windows-based environment means users can simply highlight a word and, with one keystroke, find a dictionary definition, locate alternative and opposite words, look up quotations containing the selected word, or consult the encyclopaedia. The CD can be installed and then run direct from the hard drive, and users can also create a fully integrated English and bilingual reference resource by purchasing and downloading "The Concise Oxford-Hachette French Dictionary", "The Concise Oxford German Dictionary", and/or "The Concise Oxford Spanish Dictionary".
