Biografía del autor:
Virginia Woolf (1882–1941) was an English novelist, essayist, diarist, epistler, publisher, feminist, and writer of short stories, regarded as one of the foremost modernist literary figures of the twentieth century. During the interwar period, Woolf was a significant figure in London literary society and a member of the Bloomsbury Group. Her most famous works include the novels Mrs Dalloway (1925), To the Lighthouse (1927) and Orlando (1928), and the book-length essay A Room of One's Own (1929), with its famous dictum, "A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction."

Buchbeschreibung Hardback. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good Plus. Reprint. 1980. Reprint. 176pp. First published in 1922, this novel by Virginia Woolf is set in pre-war England, and begins in Jacob's childhood and follows him through college at Cambridge and into adulthood. The story is told mainly through the perspectives of the women in Jacob's life, including the repressed upper-middle-class Clara Durrant and the uninhibited young art student Florinda, with whom he has an affair. His time in London forms a large part of the story, though towards the end of the novel he travels to Italy and then Greece. The book is bound in the original green boards with gold titling on the spine. The book is in excellent condition and the contents are tight and clean with no inscription. The dustwrapper (design by Vanessa Bell) is very good with light shelf wear and slight fading to the spine and a nick to the bottom rear spine corner. The front flap has been clipped and there is a publisher's price sticker beside the clip showing £7.95 net. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers gLitWoolf12
