HIV/AIDS-related stigma has been recognised as a key problem that needs to be addressed in HIV/AIDS interventions with adults. The literature on children and HIV/AIDS is extensive, as is the literature on HIV/AIDS related stigma, but specific research on HIV/AIDS-related stigma and children is relatively sparse. This title provides a review of the available literature in this regard. This report forms part of a series that examines the work undertaken as part of the Kellogg OVC Intervention Project from 2002 to 2005.

Harriet Deacon is an independent consultant to the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). Inez Stephney is a former senior researcher in the social aspects of HIV/AIDS and health research program of the HSRC. She is currently a researcher for the portfolio committee on public works at the South African Parliament.
