As the financial world stumbles from one crisis to another this book not only gives a clear explanation of the many and various electronic mechanisms which now exist for trading and exchange and, although it is not a principal objective of the book, it also gives a coherent insight into possible causes of the crises and measures which could be put in place to attempt to minimise the risk of further disastrous mistakes in the future. The book is particularly strong in its explanations of electronic and algorithmic methods of trading and exchange, different asset classes and different types of arbitrage.
