Elizabeth Baird was the Food Director of Canadian Living™ Magazine and foremost Canadian food writer. The author of several bestselling cookbooks, including Classic Canadian Cooking™, Canadian Living's™ Desserts, and Canadian Living™ Country Cooking, her name is synonymous with food and entertaining in this country. From 1977 to 1987, Elizabeth taught cooking classes, specializing in preserving, pasta, entertaining, and multi-cultural foods, for the Toronto Board of Education. She joined Canadian Living™ magazine in 1981 and was a major force behind the cookbook series. She has been a frequent guest on Canada AM, Global Noon News, CFTO Eye on Toronto, CFRB Radio, and Morningside. She lives in Toronto.
