Review:
John Cilio has managed to write this book so it will appeal to all age groups, from those with little or no knowledge of bomber aircraft, right thru to those who are serious aviation buffs. It is well illustrated with informative text and lots of great photographs. A book you can return to, time and time again . --Paul Clouting, Aviation Historian
This is the best book on Bombers to come along in quite a while. I especially like the way he transition's from WWII to the Korean conflict, and on into the cold war period. If this is the quality of work turned out by Mr. Cilio, then I personally cannot wait for his next work. --George E. Frey, U.S. Air Force Veteran & WWII Reenactor
I have a lot of bomber books in my collection but this book has photographs I ve never seen before. I kept turning page after page and each of the unique photographs almost jumped off the page. Seeing the A-26 from directly above or the B-29 flying next to a B-17 and the B-36 with the B-58 were beautiful scenes. Seeing the gunners in combat, the Army recognition pages of WWII bombers and the aircraft that were unsung heros like the B-45 and B-50 really made me stop and think about where we have come from. You will see and read perspectives about bombers that no one has done before. --John Purdy, U.S. Army Retired
