Tana is a thoughtleader, author, and facilitator in the area of Authentic Leadership and Emotional Intelligence. She is an executive and an entrepreneur with a passion for building businesses and developing leaders. She is the founder of Authentic Leadership Global, Inc. - a growing global community with programs focused on authenticity and emotional intelligence as business differentiators for 21st century leaders. In addition, the Authentic You™ programs support individuals anywhere in the world to reconnect with their Authentic Self and align their life with what is truly important to them. In 1984, at 22, Tana was national correspondent for CP Rail’s in-house newsletter for the $600-million Roger’s Pass tunnel project; at 27, she was started her own retail clothing store in Revelstoke, B.C. She’s worked for the founders of the balanced scorecard management system, which originated out of Harvard and she’s consulted on strategy implementation around the US. She’s been a member of the Executive team for BC Hydro – one of North America's leading providers of clean, renewable energy - with 4,500 employees, annual net income of $400 Million (2007) and 1.7 million customers. Tana was Director, Stakeholder Engagement where she was accountable for involving the public in dialogue with BC Hydro regarding a number of topics including long-term energy planning. Tana holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, B.C. Canada. She is an Executive and Leadership Coach, (member of the International Coaching Federation; and an Integral Coach trained through New Ventures West). She is also a Certified Professional EQ Analyst, is a Certified Authentic Leadership Program Facilitator and has also completed the Enneagram Intensive training and is a member of the Professional Enneagram Association of Canada (PEAC). Tana is also Business Mentor and Executive Coach with ViRTUS Inc. – a Vancouver-based organization focused on strategy, leadership, team building – all with a foundation of authentic leadership, emotional and social intelligence. She works as part of a team to deliver a 40,000-person global implementation of a multi-module Emotional and Social Intelligence program. Delivery of the program is being done both face-to-face, as well as virtually using Avatars and Web.Alive.
