After completing a Master of Science degree from Purdue University in 1990, Terry. . .Theresa Suess. . .ended up living on the city streets of Indianapolis and Los Angeles, severely victimized by the delusions and psychosis of mental illness. She was diagnosed a year later with schizoaffective disorder. Agonizing confusion, uncertainty, pain, and the cruelties and consequences of mental illness dominated her days, and nights, for years to come. But, Terry learned to retrust her instincts and brain. It came as a surprise to even her that this hell, unlike any other, did not have to be her life forever.
