Cheryl was born and raised in Washington State and currently lives on Anderson Island in the Puget Sound area. Owner and Broker of a real estate company, she finds great satisfaction in helping others achieve their goals. For Cheryl, writing the book was a seven year adventure filled with grief, angry and depression, before the process of healing took place. Cheryl dreamt early on of writing about the ordeal surrounding her son's death, but often times would set the project aside, unfinished. At least until she received an innocent fortune cookie. The paper prize inside said, "you have a charming way with words and should write a book." In December 2008, she finally put pen to paper, finishing it in January 2010.
