Biografía del autor:

Elizabeth Weidenbach, the daughter of a Catholic father and a Jewish mother, grew up in Southern Germany surviving Nazi persecution and severe Allied bombing during World War II. After the war she immigrated to Northern California, became a nurse, married and raised a son. In 2007 she published a book of stories about her childhood and war-time experiences - Growing Up and Surviving Germany: 1933-1945 (Wordrunner Press). This is her second book, and it interweaves events in her new homeland with memories of the old one. Despite the hardships she has encountered throughout her life, she has remained positive in her outlook on life and these stories are full of the joy and adventure of adjusting to a new country and a new way of life.
