David D. Dye Sr. has spent his life as a servant leader inspiring families through his thirty years as a minister and over 12 years as a public school educator. As a School Counselor he has been a trailblazer in innovative social skills training and creative character education in the public school system. He is the creator of Character Academy which uses the imagination of students to create a world of superheroes, virtue and leadership. Along with the artistic wonder of his youngest son, Jonathan, the author presents the true life story of his remarkable friend Bobby LaGree in a way that only a master storyteller can do. David has captivated audiences for years with his unique communication skills and is now sharing that gift through the written word. David was born in Grand Prairie Texas, raised in California for most of his elementary school years and then planted back in his home town again. He has earned a Masters of Ministry from Bethany Theological Seminary and a Master's of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. He is certified by the State of Texas as a Music Teacher, Self-Contained 1st through 6th grade classroom teacher and School Counselor.
