Reseña del editor:
A quiet afternoon in late spring, on a busy thoroughfare, gunfire shatters the lives of seven families. Seven children, ten years old, die; their school bus strafed by gunfire, bullets tearing thorough their young bodies. The gunmen’s’ target-the bus driver-a drug pusher who owed them money. That’s the day one war ended, another started, for a man, code name – Jupiter. His only daughter was on that school bus. He and his black ops unit were thousands of miles away from home fighting for their country. The war at home was declared, gold stolen in a daylight raid, Jupiter and his men vowing to make things right. The men paid to have the plane returning them home “crash” in a mountainous region, the entire squad “assumed” KIA. Seth Hamilton is a young police detective, married, expecting his first child. The newly made detective assigned to the Major Case Unit of the St. Louis Police Department. This detective and a man declaring he is a criminal’s judge, jury, and executioner, slam head first into each other’s lives. The young detective gets leads that bring about major arrests - Jupiter his source - but he doesn’t know why. His wife knows, she is Jupiter’s niece. Hamilton vows to arrest his arch rival, who deems drug pushers, corrupt officials, and street gangs, pieces of human garbage needing to be dispatched quickly. No one is safe from the swift retribution of Jupiter! Hamilton’s wife is kidnapped, almost killed, but rescued the same night as an attempt is made on her husbands’ life. Hamilton, near death, is hospitalized in a coma. The last thought Hamilton has before his car is rammed by a truck is Jupiter; he knows one day he will arrest him or kill him. He has no choice.
Biografía del autor:
Bill Addison's background has threads running through radio, television, and print media’s over several decades. His career spans more than fifty years, beginning in radio news, where he was given 28 United Press and Associated Press Outstanding News Awards for his reporting in and around the St. Louis area. The awards were received over a period of 14 years. Addison moved into television, both anchoring and as news director for an independent television station in St. Louis. He and his news department received four national news awards from the Associated Press in the one year for their reporting on illicit drug testing on mental patients at Missouri state institutions. That investigation led to changes in the rights of mental patients on state and national levels. The late Senator Ted Kennedy authored the bill following hearings based on the stories from Addison’s news operation. That is the only time before or since that four out of five major national awards went to the same news operation in one year. Bill was credited with developing the concept of a five minute news report, five times a night in prime time, for television. Called “Update News” Addison anchored those newscasts for seven years. His operation was one of the first to use a new media for news gathering called “portable video camcorders” instead of shooting events on film. The station and Bill were lauded by the FCC for “The Most Innovative Programming of News”. Bill moved from the independent station to CBS where he served as Executive Producer for News in the St. Louis CBS station. His responsibilities included overseeing all newscasts and street coverage for the #1 rated news station in St. Louis. Addison left CBS after being offered a position doing investigative reporting for Jack Anderson’s organization in New York. Bill worked with the North American Newspaper Alliance covering such stories as the Buford Pusser “Walking Tall” trials in Tennessee, investigating the UFO’s of southern Missouri, and deliberate violations of drug testing by Serile Labs. Bill has produced television programs for CBS, NBC, ESPN, HBO, Showtime, and others for independent distribution. He also worked for several years as a stringer for ABC News.
