Born in the farmland of Ohio, Mellie traveled to sunny California for college. After meeting her one and only, Steve, they married and began their journey through life together. This journey has been an interesting one, having lived in cities from Oregon to Georgia, California to Utah and Wyoming. They've raised two daughters and have five grandsons. At age 51, Mellie was diagnosed with breast cancer, after eight years of training in the martial art, Tang Soo Do. As a wife, mother and musician, breast cancer was frightening. But as a martial artist, cancer was an enemy to be defeated, by whatever means possible. Follow her journey from diagnosis to chemotherapy and recovery. Walk with her down the Warrior's Way and discover what her martial arts training taught her, which gave her the strength to fight and stay the course to victory. Mellie also writes romantic fantasy.
