Reseña del editor:
The Founders wanted what had never been but an idea and a theory in their books and a dream in their hearts, a living, breathing, process new to the world: Democracy. Whether you are a high school or college student, a lawyer, an engineer, a retail sales clerk,a doctor, a physical therapist, a nurse, a software developer, even a politician, you are a citizen of the United States of America. Your role and obligations as a citizen of this Republic are no different than that of the 55 men who gathewrd in Philadelphia 225 years ago to begin our Magnificent Experiment in Democracy. Like them, you should discuss, decide, and do. The game of Democracy is definitel still on. You, the People, hold all the cards that count.
Biografía del autor:
At Cape Canaveral during the 1960's I designed test equipment and wrote procedures for Quality Control inspectors and engineers. Later at the Kennedy Space Center I wrote maintenance manuals for the government (Corps of Engineers), and then, working as a Technical Writer for Grumman Aerospace on the Apollo Moon Project, I wrote procedures for astronauts for in-flight orbital operations on the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module). I will add that along the way I attended college, where, during a course in American Government, the Professor reignited a long smoldering fire that began in my high school Civics class. You can find the results by reading your copy of The Citizens Manual For Amending the United States Constitution. Assuming that it's never too late, I've decided to take Mark Twain's advice: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do then by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. George Enice Lawhon
