Reseña del editor:
I sit in the relative quiet of my quarters, in the bowels of the ship, between crises and pull out my journal. The storm has subsided and now I have a moment's peace to gather my thoughts and write them down. Little Gnome journal entry: Twenty-something As I look back on my adventure so far, I wish I had never left home. This all started as such a simple project. Find some garden help. Any garden, with a gnome of my limited stature and working alone, can be too much to handle. So...off I went. I found myself traveling to mysterious lands, encountering questionable spiritual leaders, a gang of violent criminals, storms at sea, a great personal loss, misplaced love and the dysfunction of family. Quite a whirlwind. All in the dark. Now, if I could only get this stupid lantern to work. So then, what is the Little Gnome Protégé Project? A simple and gentle child's story? NOT! You wanted a chance to escape the mundane for a while, so join me. With a contagious sense of humor and wit, this makes a wonderful read. It'll be worth the effort. Strap in.
Biografía del autor:
About the Author After decades of writing for someone else, it became time to embark on my own journey of self-expression. Not that advertising copy, radio and television commercials and documentaries weren't rewarding, it just seemed like a good time to expand my horizons. Living on the beach in South Florida, has given me the chance to meet a number of fascinating characters. This, coupled with a deep interest in the Caribbean and Mexico and a love of the sea, led me to writing about adventures far from the commonplace. Born in Schenectady, NY (a great place to be from), I moved to New England and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in English Literature. Looking for a career in children's television, I ended up building fishing boats instead. Advertising became the next natural progression (?) and then a move to Florida with my wife, dog and three cats. Occasionally retired, my passion for writing has taken the place of steady employment and I haven't looked back. J. S. Spring
