Reseña del editor:
5,201 years ago, this 4th book of the Raising Up Pharaoh epic begins as the northern scout patrol is ensnared by murderous priests and their puppet king, and will die if they don’t fight their way out. Similar intrigues plague the other two patrols. Rage is rampant as local kings seek to avenge horrific atrocities. The scout patrols inform kings along their routes about the mysterious protection of their own people, and most kings witness this protection. Suspicions mount that the wave of crime is controlled from within the region. Only blood can now satisfy justice. Amidst this chaos, the scouts must build alliances, rendezvous at Askleumon, scout the land where their people will settle, and report back to their king. All is now at risk. Thus continues the six-novel Raising Up Pharaoh epic, set among the emerging city-states and nations in the Fertile Crescent at the dawn of written history—as they plant the cultural seeds of today’s world. The series is written for readers of all ages. The tone is intense, yet controlled by zooming back the lens to avoid needless close-ups of violence and sexuality. The tale unfolds through the differing viewpoints of the orphans, the couple, others drawn to them, and their foes. The setting of this fourth book extends from the southwestern Iraqi desert through what is now Saudi Arabia to Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, the Nile Delta, and Mediterranean coast of Egypt. In later books, the setting expands throughout the Middle East, the Steppes, West and South Asia, and Northwest Africa. The diverse cast speaks a pidgin of proto-Indo-European, proto-Afro-Semitic, and various lost languages such as Harappan. The pidgin is presented in modern U.S. English. The Raising Up Pharaoh novels were edited by Dr. Dennis E. Hensley PhD.
