A man-child that is craving personal, spiritual, and professional change as he dances around the idea of confronting his various demons. What will it take to get this man out of this despondent deep end where dreams come to die? Love, “rock bottom”, music, pot, booze, hedonism, heroism, some new –ism, he’ll try just about anything. This story is the personal account of one strange and pivotal week in this odd and normal man’s life. It’s about the songs that inspire and influence—the very motivation for our being, the conscious and unconscious decisions we make, and what defines our identity. Since that is all a bit too much, here’s how Gus from the story would put it: “It’s a story about a silly drunk teacher that gets a bunch of ass, has his head up his own ass, smokes a ton of grass, but he’s trying to change a lot of that, he might have played a role in a murder, and he’s searching for love won and lost, meaning, change, and answers in the future and past. But what about the present, eh Bukowski?”

Biografía del autor:

R. Bee is a creative writer from Washington State. He was raised in the Pacific Northwest and still resides there to this day. He graduated from Western Washington University and after dropping out of Graduate School, he rambled from job to job as he struggled to corral his various demons and realize, as most writers do, that the only thing that he can do in any capacity, is write. He has a book of poetry entitled, Plan Bee, that should be available in print soon. He maintains a blog on www.beerant.com and performs spoken word poetry—often without invitation or acceptation. This is his first full length fiction book, a novella, and the reading community can look forward to, or tremble in fear and disgust at the next works he will pen. His style is a snarky, despondent, sarcastic, and imagistic blast in the face of most things decent—yet it is unapologetically honest and transcendent.
