Biografía del autor:
James E. Lewis is a multi-faceted author with work in self-help, documentary, fiction, and non-fiction genres. His work ranges from action/adventure, to a gnarly how-to book on revenge, to consumer-friendly automotive ownership books designed to inform car owners about preventive maintenance and how to not get scammed by dealers. He is also the expert witness called on by the nation's top consumer law firms to protect car owners when something goes wrong. Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Kia... he's been asked to testify against every major car manufacturer in more than 800 court cases. Lewis's automotive career started out around age 5, helping his older brothers work on the classic cars of the '60s and '70s. After a career in the Air Force, Lewis finally took his love of autos into the car business - first in sales as a fleet manager and finance manager, then on the service side, where he served as a service manager. He was heavily involved in inventory control, attending auctions to purchase vehicles for dealership stock, as well as evaluating trade-ins during the sales process. His service management experience allowed him to work as a technical instructor at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), where he taught preventive maintenance, suspension and steering, alignments, wheels and tires, and UTI's "Hot Rod University". Lewis's automotive career eventually led to his expert witness work, beginning in 2001. He specializes in lemon law, breach of warranty, and dealer fraud cases, with over 10,000 formal, written opinions so far in both major and minor lawsuits. He also opines on cases involving the towing and trucking industries.
