The lion's share of the book however is devoted to the MGA's member clubs. Quirin has painstakingly put together complete data on every MGA member club as well as profiles on over 150 private clubs and public golf facilities. A whole section of the book is devoted to golf course architects. Titled "The Creators", this chapter takes an in depth look at the talented, and sometimes colorful, sculptors who shaped the unique character of the Met Area's classic golf courses. Another section explores those courses that are no longer in existence with a section called "Land That time Forgot."
The last section lists the Association's 99 years of champions, award winners and leaders - a real who's who of American golf.
