What sets Jamaican food apart from any other is the ability to combine many different cultures and fuse them to create one cuisine, Jamaican. Although Jamaica is very exotic, if you break down the ingredients to its root core, you will see that they are everyday ingredients such as thyme, soya sauce, garlic, ginger, and scallions, just to mention a few. Although as with anything new, expect a few exotic ingredients for you to discover. So don't be afraid to explore Jamaica, even if it's only with food.
