James Abbington is associate professor of church music and worship at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. He is also executive editor of the African American Church Music Series. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia.John D. Witvliet is director of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, and is a professor of worship at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the author ofThe Biblical Psalms in Christian Worship: A Brief Introduction and Guide to Resources andWorship Seeking Understanding: Windows into Christian Practice, coauthor ofWalking Where Jesus Walked: Worship in Fourth-Century Jerusalem, and editor ofA Child Shall Lead: Children in Worship. He lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
