Reseña del editor:
Robin McMahon's book celebrates our evolution since our emergence as a species as described in Charles Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species'. It also looks at what the future is for diversity and our species in particular. Are we simply a staging post to equip Artificial Intelligences to become the new top dogs, or can we become the first species to plan evolution. Research and ideas are provided in the hope that the book will be comforting for many, but also thought provoking and challenging.
Biografía del autor:
Robin McMahon was born in London and, aged 17, he moved to the West Country to farm. Various jobs and several entrepreneurial businesses provided wide and multifaceted experiences, which are included throughout the book. Robin is happily married to Barbara, and he enjoyed the countryside, reading, history, evolution and ancestry, travel, sport and meeting people. He is a great believer in enjoying the moment and is very supportive and appreciative of friends and family. McMahon has always believed in treating others as he would like them to treat him, but as everyone is different, it is a challenge he is trying to solve. McMahon states that many books work hard to provide answers, but laws are for international politicians. As everyone is unique, his aim is trying to encourage thought and discussion, and thereby maintaining diversity. McMahon believes that as a social species we cannot live in isolation and our generations have to consider the welfare of subsequent generations and of our world. Some of the things we do to each other and to other species are horrific to Robin, but may not be to others and vice-versa. McMahon's wish is to open eyes.
