Twenty-five years after Loch Longs: The First Fifty Years was published, Jamie Bruce Lockhart brings the story up-to-date, concentrating on the links between the Clyde and the Alde that developed during the last quarter-century. While the book includes records of Class Champions and Commodores and lists every one of the 130 Loch Longs still in existence, their owners and builders, it is not a chronological history. Rather, it is a series of essays by someone who sails, owns and above all loves Loch Longs; it is a view from the inside.

Biografía del autor:

Jamie Bruce Lockhart has worked in banking, as a government economist and as a member of the British diplomatic service throughout the world and now lives in Suffolk. An enthusiastic and active sailor, he has recently been made an honorary life member by the Loch Long One Design Owners Association. Jamie has also edited three volumes of diaries of the travels in the Sahara and West Africa of Hugh Clapperton, Commander RN (1788-1827) and published a biography of the Scottish sailor turned explorer. He has also edited journals from the Lander brothers' 1830 Niger expedition.
