Maureen O. Betita began her career writing about pirates and intends to continue that tradition the rest of her life. Pirates are her passion, though not so much historically accurate pirates as the greats of Hollywood Pirates. Pirate Festivals, Steampunk Gatherings, Science Fiction and Fantasy Conventions, Renaissance Faires – these are all within her social sphere and she borrows, steals, and creates stories from her adventures at these venues.
