Asher Cohen is a lecturer in the Department of Politics at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He is the author of The Prayer Shawl and the Flag: Religious Zionism and the Vision of a Torah State in Israel's Formative Years. Bernard Susser is the Senator Patterson Professor of Politics at Bar-Ilan University. His many books include The Grammar of Modern Ideology and Choosing Survival: Prospects for a Jewish Future.
