Inscription is "with respect to Rita Rodriguez" who was a Director of the Ex-IM Bank in the 1990s. The signature is not clear, but one knowledgeable native Russian speaker and reader thought it might be of Yeltsen! Stamp of Ms. Rodriguez inside front cover. The English translation from the Introduction, describing what this book is about: "In this album we are going to show not silver ashtrays in the shape of a muzhik's bast-show like that which was displayed on the desk of the famous character depicted by Turgenev. Unique paintings of palaces and cathedrals, exquisite finishing of Orthodox icons and frescoes, stained-glass windows and mosaic, things used for church purposes and in ordinary houses, small sculptures and jewelries - - this is a list, far from being complete."
