Each concept term included in the general index is glossed and identified by language (Sanskrit, the Indic vernaculars, Persian, etc.). Moreover, the general index is divided into some two dozen categories, such as divinities, performance traditions, religious traditions, and poets/teachers/saints (the latter two further separated into pre-19th century and modern).
