Dr Mike Teng is the author of a best-selling book "Corporate Turnaround: Nursing a sick company back to health" in 2002. which was also translated into the Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin. His book is endorsed by management guru Professor Philip Kotler and business tycoons Mr Oei Hong Leong and Dr YY Wong. He subsequently authored more than twenty five management books on corporate transformation, merger and acquisitions, office politics, leadership and cyberspace marketing. His books are very popular with the business community in Singapore and Asia. He has been a CEO for twenty years in multi-national and public-listed companies responsible for Asia Pacific region. He has successfully spearheaded in the corporate turnaround and transformation of several distressed companies. Currently, he is the founder of an investment and corporate restructuring firm, Corporate Turnaround Centre Pte Ltd (www.corporateturnaroundcentre.com). He is a regular columnist with Business Times and Dun & Bradstreet on business issues. Dr Teng is the current President of the National University of Singapore MBA Alumni, Chairman of Chartered Management Institute, Singapore, President of Univesity of South Australia University Alumni (Singapore branch) as well as the Chairman of the Chartered Management Institute (UK), Singapore. Dr Teng is the current Senate Member and served as the Executive Council member for fourteen years and the last four years as the President of the Marketing Institute of Singapore (2000 – 2004), the national marketing association. Dr Teng holds a Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of South Australia, Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Professional Engineer (P Eng, Singapore), Chartered Engineer ( C Eng, UK) and Fellow Member of several prestigious professional institutes namely, Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Institute of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), Marketing Institute of Singapore (FMIS), Institute of Electrical Engineers (FIEE) and Senior Member of Singapore Computer Society (SMSCS).
