In Judeo Persian. 334 pages. 29 x 19 cm. Sharhin Shiraz was a Persian Jewish poet of the 14th century. Though Shirazi means born in Shiraz, and though he was likely buried there, based on his writing some researchers believe he was born in Khashan in central Iran and received the name Shirazi for some other reason, perhaps because he spent many years in Shiraz. He carried the honorific MEULLANA. He put the Pentateuch into Persian verse, with Hebrew script, under the titel MUSA NAMEH, an imitation of the famous SHAHNAHME in style. His completed his work in 1359 C.E. after laboring on it for thirty years. 4, 163 leaves = 334 pages.
