WHEELOCK, John Hall. Autograph Letter Signed. Two pages on a single sheet of Scribner's stationery, dated May 26, 1916. Hall agrees to donate ten autographed copies of "Beloved Adventure" to an Allied Bazaar being held in Princton as part of the war effort. "I am asking the publishers to forward them to me at once." He agrees to ship the books care of the Princeton University Press. "The book is the one of mine that has the best sale, and I have chosen it for that reason." Wheelock also agrees to have this reply letter auctioned off as well, if the Bazaar so choses. He also goes on to briefly praise the work being done by the Bazaar. An early Wheelock letter.
