"Among the media's intellectuals and senior policy-makers that form the high priesthood of the left, conservatives like myself, and the writer of this book is not merely wrong, but evil. Evil, for the solitary reason of supporting common sense of what I have witnessed over my eight decades of living in what I considered the premium country on this earth. In the past sixty-years, I have questioned in my mind many of the senseless conclusive fraudulent tycoons to be elected politicians to corrupt our American system of economics and justice that had conformed to our Constitution. As you read through my words, the clarity of "Addiction to Comfort" will present its own defenses of why, who and when our cultural characteristics have been passed down to on-coming generations, not in the history of "specific greatness, but in a deliberate perverted general view. We have been told by elected officials and the media that the United States is in the realm of "instability and change". We are being accused of neglecting our morals, our vanishing work ethics, the way we raise our children, our not supporting public education, and much more are to blame for our meager inheritance from previous generations. The cultural changes are slowly but surely being corrupted mainly from all our public schools, and not from our "American inheritance"but from the complete "omission of our inheritance". If you were to rewind back to the decade of the 50s, it shrieks loud and clear the beginning of the corruption in decency, economics and justice. The six oncoming decades is where we find there had been an open attack on our legacy since the Founding Fathers gave us our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and our Bill of Rights. What made America so good and great has been either terminated, splintered, or separated, all in the name of "Addiction to Comfort", the very approach our adversaries use to forever change America." - from the inner front and rear jacket flaps. "Secrets of Always Making Appropriate Moral Choices. In regard to all Addictions, I find it is impossible to arrive at an objective and constant standard of truth and morality without bringing Jesus Christ onto the podium. If an important standard of truth and morality exists, it cannot be the product of the sinner, or it will not be impartial or decisive. It must be the result of a far greater Mind, that of the Christ Jesus. If a constant and unchanging truth exists, it must be beyond human time-lines, or it will not be continuous; it must be everlasting. If a universal choice of "right versus wrong" exists, it must go beyond individual understanding, or it will not be "universal". It must be above us all. However, absolute truth must be something or someone to free the addicted that is common to all humanity and creation. All is found in one person, and He Jesus Christ is the source of all truth. He is the secret of always making appropriate moral choices. For in each conflict we have, positions us to determine the correct moral choice to put forward. If our instant thought and or our comeback is that of self-deceptive "ends justify the means", then your determination is flawed. If your response may be however difficult, but you choose to preserve and improve not only your own human life, integrity and self-respect, then you have chosen not to take over God's role as Creator and Sovereignty over your conflict. Be hopeful and please God, but never partake as God. - Richard Kay." - from the rear outer jacket. "America will cease to be great when it ceases to be good." - Alexis de Tocqueville.
