First American edition, BOMC edition. First printing July 1958. Signed and inscribed by author on the half-title thus: "To Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Smith with all best wishes from Bamse's father." Book is in Very Good condition: taupe cloth-covered covers are clean and unmarked; blind stamp of Easter Island stone on front cover; binding is square and tight; corners are sharp; slight wear to spine ends.
