This Irish mathematician was considered the authority on the theory of numbers; a disciple of the great German mathematician and astronomer Carl Friedrich Gauss. Partial ALS, 4½" X 3 3/4", n.p. [London, England], n.d. Very good. Fragment, reading in part: "I shall be here til Wednesday morning. My address in London will be at the Athenaeum.
