Interesting essay on Lincoln's journey to Washington in February 1861, perhaps written for publication in the "Lincoln Herald." Accompanied by an ANS, 1p, 5�" X 3�" postcard, Greens Farms, CT, 1961 February 11. Addressed to Arnold Gates. Fine. ".as you'll see by the enclosed. I couldn't agree with you more that the days & events between the leave-taking at Springfield & arrival at Washington were of top importance.".
