("Irene Fenwick Barrymore") in fountain pen ink on pink album leaf. 4 1/4" x 6". Also signed and inscribed by Jimmy Durante on verso ("Schnozzola Durante"). Very good. Durante (1893-1980), began his long career at 16, playing ragtime piano in Bowery night clubs. He made his first film appearance in 1930 in "Roadhouse Nights." Durante was the first headliner to appear in Las Vegas in 1943. Fenwick (1887-1936) was a silent screen actress married to Lionel Barrymore.
