This collection includes 22 hardcover first editions and two paperback first editions entirely by Drake; four hardcover first editions and five paperback editions of works co-written by Drake; two hardcover and two paperback anthologies which include Drake=s stories; eleven science fiction digests which include Drake stories; typescripts for three proposed anthologies of Drake=s stories to be published by The Vainglory Press (none of which ever came to fruition); the first draft of the typescript for his second novel, The Dragon Lord; miscellaneous promotional material from his publisher. All works are inscribed from Drake to his long-time friend John D. Squires. Squires, Drake, and Karl Edward Wagner were friends in the early 1970s when Drake=s writing career was beginning. The pair stayed in touch over the years until Squires= recent passing.
