It is true that both The Royal Bank and The Bank of Nova Scotia have roots in Halifax, but generations have passed since they began to run their affairs from central Canada. The oldest of the firms that now make up Central Trust was born in Halifax during a depression one hundred years ago. Until recently, Central Trust s history was decidedly regional. Now, however, it is among the giants of Canada s trust companies. It has more than 1,000 employees, and its 60 branches serve customers across the country. The introduction then provides a history of the various firms that now make up Central Trust. Nimbus published both a hardcover version of the book with a dust jacket as well as a paperback. This copy is obviously one of the special, deluxe copies and rather than a dust jacket is has a very high-quality slipcase. There is no indication of the number of such copies.
