Decorative green cloth with cover design in gold and dark green. 8vo. 363pp. Illustrated by Orson Lowell. This copy is inscribed by Lowell on the frontis illustration to art historian, writer and editor August Jaccaci "This copy for Jac from whom I learned the trade of illustrating". Lowell has also drawn a small balloon on the title page opposite with the date "N.Y. 1898". Lowell was a prolific artist, illustrator and cartoonist and a member of the New Rochelle artist community whose members included Norman Rockwell. A good copy with some fading and browning to the spine and fading to the rear cover near the spine. The text is very good with some light soiling and wear. A few pages are edge-chipped and one early text page has a small chip missing from the right side. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 10896
