Pale blue cloth on boards with darker blue lettering to front board. Some light bumping to extremities, with minor spotting and rubbing to cloth. End papers, front and rear, browning. A brief history of Lancing College in West Sussex, England, compiled by the then head master of No. 5 College. Illustrated with ten full page engravings of scenes of Lancing College, from drawings by William Henry Fox F.S.A., completed in 1911. Each illustration is signed by the artist, in pencil, W H Fox. The book was published in a limited edition of 550 copies. The 'limited edition certificate' states that the first 50 copies were de luxe editions. This copy was originally numbered as being 'No. 122'. This '122' has been crossed out and the number replaced with a hand written, in ink '9'. With no other copies available to compare with, it is not able to say if this is a de luxe edition or not. Either way, this is an extremely rare book. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 001509
