The recipient was Ethel Forbes-Robertson, the sister of the actor Johnston and a notable friend to artists and writers. Paterson (1871-1942) preferred to write under the name Swift and published a number of novels. In very good minus condition, bound in dark green cloth with title and author printed in white with a decorative border on front cover. Spine is very darkened, corners are bumped, joints rather tender. Interior gatherings have pulled away from binding but holding well.
