Signed by Bud Krogh. On December 21, 1970 Elvis Presley made a visit to President Richard M. Nixon at the White House. The meeting was asked for by Presley, who wrote Nixon a letter asking to be made a "federal agent at large" in the Bureau of Narcotics. Oddly, Presley brought a gun to the meeting. At the time, the author - Bud Krogh (1939-2020) - was a liaison from the White House to the FBI and Bureau of Narcotics. He was later imprisoned as a result of Watergate. Following that he lived in Bellevue, Washington. According to the National Archives, photos of Nixon and Presley shaking hands are are requested every year more than any other document, including the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution. Softcover wraps (thick card stock), 11x9 inches, 61 pages, The color photo of Nixon and Presley shaking hands is printed on heavy card stock as well. Very good condition. Uncommon signed.
