Inscribed by Robinson on half-title page. One of 500 copies. Staple-bound in card covers. Light uneven fading on front cover. Interior is clean and unmarked. Six linocut illustrations. 18 ff. printed on rectos. A creative short story depicting direct action protests in the Pacific Northwest, in the mid-1980s, to block the movement of Trident nuclear missiles by rail. This short story by Andy Robinson is accompanied by the art of William Jackson ''Jack'' McLarty (1919-2011), a Portland, Oregon, artist and art teacher. McLarty studied art at the Portland Museum Art School and then at the American Artists School (successor to the John Reed Club School of Art) in New York, which included studies with Anton Refregier and Joseph Solman. He taught at the Portland Museum Art School from 1945 until his retirement in 1981. Robinson's story was originally published in the Summer 1984 issue of the Clinton Street Quarterly, under the title ''Cracked. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 013959
