New York. Crown Publishers, Inc. 1970. First Edition. Quarto (9 1/2 x 7). 352 pp. Inscribed and signed by Nick Lyons on the half-title page. A fine collection of stories and essays, mostly about fly fishing, but with a few scattered remnants on slinging bait. There are real nuggets herein, including G. E. M. Skues's "Mr. Theodore Castwell" and "Murder" by Sparse Grey Hackle and Roland Pertwee's "The River God" and "A Wedding Gift" by John Taintor Foote and "A Day's Fishing, 1948" by Ed Zern and Henry van Dyke's "A Fatal Success" and "To Know a River" by Roderick Haig-Brown. These are just a few personal highlights and I'm sure you will find your favorites, too. A book easy to find, but damn scarce signed by Nick. The book is bound in green cloth with silver titles. Other overseas shipping options are available, such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.; however, they are frightfully expensive.
