The Kolb Brothers, Ellsworth and Emory, are Grand Canyon legends. They established a photography business at the South Rim of Grand Canyon in 1903. The studio remained in business until Emery's death in 1976. In 1911, they made a trip by rowboat the length of the Green and Colorado rivers and described it in this book, only the eighth party to successfully run the Grand Canyon. They documented their trip with hundreds of photos and many feet of movie film. In addition to this book, their photos and moving pictures formed the basis for a film that showed continuously at their studio, usually narrated by Emery, until his death. This is a very nice copy, bright and clean, a fine book in a near fine dust jacket. Fourteenth printing, published in 1963. The book has minor wear at spine extremities, still fine. The dust jacket has some wrinkling and tiny tears at spine extremities- see photos. No chipping or significant tears. Very bright and clean. Unpriced. Signed and inscribed by Emery Kolb in 1965 at Grand Canyon. A classic of Grand Canyon literature. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 000326
