This is the Special Edition (SIGNED Limited Edition) of Our Historic Desert, which is a history of Southern California's Anza-Borrego Desert and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, at over half-a-million acres, the second-largest state park in the United States (behind Adirondack Park in New York). This beautiful volume includes chapters dealing with the region's geology, topography, plant life, wildlife, and human history and is packed with maps, drawings, paintings, and photographs. It is signed by the editor, Richard F. Pourade, on the special limitation page. This copy is No. 59. It has three tiny (1/16") speckles on the covers and a few faint fingerprint smudges on the first two pages, is otherwise in As-New condition. The faux leather slipcase has a few little spots on the back panel, is otherwise in like-new condition. Will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a box to insure safe delivery.
