This Italian actor first appeared opposite Sophia Loren in Carlo Ponti's 1957 "The River Girl," then appeared in a vast array of spaghetti westerns and sword-and-sandal flicks mainly in Europe for the next few decades. IPS, glossy 4" X 5 3/4", n.p., n.y. Fne. Superb informal head-and-shoulders portrait of a smiling Battaglia in checkered suitcoat, boldly inscribed and signed vertically in bright blue ink on a light portion at left: "To Richard / Rick Battaglia." With large original mailing envelope (soiled) with recipient's name and Chicago address in Battaglia's hand and his rubberstamped Rome address. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 45898
