American supporting actor and hoofer ("A Star Is Born," "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," "Melody Cruise," etc.) who occasionally played leading man in low-budget films ("Seven Doorways to Death," 1943); on television, co-hosted weekly adventure "Soldiers of Fortune" (1955) and guest-starred on numerous popular shows. IPS, 8" X 10", n.p., n.y. [ca. 1945?]. Near fine. Choice sepia-tone head-and-shoulders portrait of a smiling Chandler in white suit coat, boldly inscribed and signed in blue fountain pen in a light area at lower left: "To Jean / Best wishes / Chick Chandler."
