Unpaginated (20 pp), undated (c1978), 10" H. Signed on title page: "R B Limbu V.C. 12 Aug 78" then, in other hands: "Pipe Major 10 GR J. B. Rai / Pipe Major Yom Bahadur Gurung (QGE)". (GR = Gurkha Rifles / QGE = Queen's Gurkha Engineers.) B&w photographs. A short biography of Rambahadur Limbu's life before and during his time with the Gurkha Rifles, including the text of the Official Citation detailing how he came to be awarded the Victoria Cross. Also included: a pamphlet, 9" H, stapled in wraps, with colour and b&w photographs, "The Brigade of Gurkhas", with Foreword by Major General D G T Horsford, CBE DSO, Major General, The Brigade of Gurhkas, containing: Gurkha Origin and History; The Gurkha's Background; Gurkha recruitment and training; The Brigade of Gurhkas; The Brigade of Gurkhas Band Contingent 1971; The Gurkhas, Bravest of the Brave, by Sir Arthur Bryant; Gurkha VC's (up to 1945); Legendary - But true stories; The Pensioner's Song; Return to Civilian Life: The Gurkha Welfare Appeal. Plus: A colour card (6 1/16" H x 5 1/16" W) "6th Gurkha Rifles" after a water colour by Major A.C. Lovett, 1910 - signed on back: "Rambahadur Limbu V.C. / Capt Kaman Sing Gurung / Kesar Limbu". An interesting grouping of three items in total. Interiors - 'The Brigade of Gurkhas' has a faint dampness mark at bottom edge of last two pages and rear cover. Exteriors - 'My Life Story' has light soiling/rubbing on rear cover and very light edge wear, 'The Brigade of Gurkhas' has very light rubbing, very light tiny foxing marks and a few very small stains on front cover, very light edge wear, a few light wrinkles at bottom edge of rear cover.
