This is apparently a re-publication and extension of an article originally printed in the Boonville Herald in 1953, brought up-to-date by a committee which included James S. Pitcher, Boonville Town Historian. This copy was signed thus: "To Larry & Mary, Thanks for your contribution to this work! James S. Pitcher, 12/98."
