Hardback. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Edition, Later Printing. VG/VG. First Edition, Later Printing (same year as first printing) in d/w not price clipped. SIGNED BY AUTHOR, GORDON WILSON, without dedication or inscription on title-page. Illustrated with photographs. 8th November 1987. At the cenotaph in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, the townspeople gathered for the Remembrance Day service. It never took place. Shortly before 11am, an IRA bomb ripped a disused school apart. Gordon Wilson and his daughter Marie, a nurse, were buried in a deluge of rubble. Holding hands under six feet of masonry, they comforted each other until Marie lost consciousness. She died hours later in hospital. This book is the story Marie Wilson. It's also the story of her father, who was able to say about Marie's killers: 'I shall pray for those killers tonight and every night'. Gordon Wilson (1927-1995) was a Peace Campaigner, and written on the title-page is 'Sunday 25th Sept 1994/Alyesford/Peace Pilgrimage'. Also, on the front endpaper and front pastedown, is written, in the same non-authorial hand, a poem. Spotting to top-edge; age-tanning to edges of pages; else a very good copy, in a very good d/w, of an UNCOMMON first edition, later printing SIGNED BY GORDON WILSON. D/w now protected in a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf. Signed by Author, Gordon Wilson. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 18811
